Mission and ambition

As an education provider and independent scientific research facility, we are committed to promoting the development of managers and professionals so that they will be even better able to lead financial institutions, provide financial services and evaluate the policies of companies in the financial sector.

The purpose of the UvA Academy for Banking and Insurance is to raise the field of banking and insurance science to a higher level and to establish a firm foundation for it in the Netherlands.

Up-to-date education in the area of legislation and regulations is essential to this goal. Each and every one of these objectives can be realised through the broad, integral and holistic approach we advocate here at the UvA. Effective cooperation between key officers is strongly promoted as well.
