Obtaining the Financial Markets certificate entitles you to the entry in the Register of Financial Markets Professionals on the website of the UvA Academy of Banking and Insurance (UvA ABV).

There is a need for Financial Markets Professionals who have broad and in-depth knowledge of Financial Markets and who keep their knowledge up-to-date and ready through Continuing Education.

In order to meet this need, the UvA Academy of Banking and Insurance (hereinafter referred to as: UvA ABV) has set up a Register Financial Markets Professional. The register was opened on 1 June 2022.

Those who have passed the Financial Markets Professional course of TLM Academy will be registered in the Register Financial Markets Professional at his/her request and will receive a UvA certificate in view of the provisions of these regulations. The register is kept by the UvA ABV. In addition to being a trainer, the UvA ABV is also a registrar. These are registers of experts in a particular field.

In 14 meetings of 3 hours each, the training of TLM Academy covers the characteristics of the financial market instruments, the organization of trading, compliance and risk management, the systems and the internal and external supervision of trading. The lessons learned from scandals such as Barings / Nick Leeson, Enron, WorldOnline, DSB Bank, Lehman Brothers, LIBOR, Vestia are also extensively discussed.

The training includes 14 meetings and the standard work The dealing Room written by Tony Illis (first edition 2021). The training is concluded with an exam.
